Kids are usually fond of the paired flavors of hazelnut and cocoa, which you can easily smuggle into a simple yet substantial morning porridge, too. To make the meal even more wholesome, you can add some flaxseed oil, hazelnuts and some fruit of the season.
Measure the water and the milk in a pan. Add the tigernut flour, the fine oat flakes, a small pinch of salt and the honey, and cook the mix until it reaches porridge consistency.
When it is done, mix in some good quality Dutch cocoa powder.
Mix in the oil only after the porridge has cooled lukewarm.
Chop the hazelnuts coarsely, slice the fruits (e.g. strawberries in the spring) and place them on the porridge. Finally, sprinkle some apple balsamico crema on it.
