Cottage cheese is a valuable, low calorie source of proteins, and you can make excellent sandwich creams from it. In this recipe, it is the grape seed oil and the beer vinegar that gives the cottage cheese sandwich a little twist.
Get a nice, ripe, semi-hard pear and cut 3 slices from it lengthwise. Remove the seeds and sprinkle it with 1 teaspoonful of beer vinegar.
Blend the cottage cheese with the grape seed oil, the beer vinegar, a pinch of salt and 2 spoons of finely snipped chives.
Spread the cream on the rye bread slices and serve the sandwiches with lettuce leaves and the pear slices.
You can sprinkle an extra few drops of grape seed oil on the prepared sandwiches.
